Resurrection Sunday (The promise manifest) 2026
When Shabbat was over, Miryam of Magdala, Miryam the mother of Ya’akov, and Shlomit bought spices in order to go and anoint Yeshua. Very early the next day, just after sunrise, they went to the tomb. They were asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone from the entrance to the tomb for us?” Then they looked up and saw that the stone, even though it was huge, had been rolled back already. On entering the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right; and they were dumbfounded. But he said, “Don’t be so surprised! You’re looking for Yeshua from Natzeret, who was executed on the stake. He has risen, he’s not here! Look at the place where they laid him. But go and tell his talmidim, especially Kefa, that he is going to the Galil ahead of you. You will see him there, just as he told you.”
Mark 16:1-7
Yeshua said, “I AM the Way—and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6
Through immersion into his death we were buried with him; so that just as, through the glory of the Father, the Messiah was raised from the dead, likewise we too might live a new life.
Romans 6:4
The women had the desire to go and anoint the Lord, but while walking they thought about the big stone, an obstacle, that separated them from the Lord, and wondered who would roll it away for them. It is like many of us, we have the desire of going to Jesus but are kept from Him because of an obstacle, that unlike the women who did not allow their thoughts to stop them from their mission, stop short of going all the way because of obstacles, like the stone that block our way.
When Jesus explained to the disciples, in John 14:6 that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and that nobody can come to the Father except through Him, the promise was not yet revealed. However as Mary and the other women came to the tomb where they expected to find Jesus, THE WAY WAS OPEN. That stone, that presented itself as an obstacle, was removed through the promise of God that His Son, Jesus the anointed Christ will open the way for each one who desires to come to Him.
The angel then told the women that Jesus has risen and that he’s not here, go therefore and tell his disciples. This revelation, of Jesus as the resurected Saviour, however were accompanied with the command to GO AND TELL.
As we seek Jesus, the Bible says we will find Him as He promised. Once that promise is revealed to you and you find Jesus, then you must GO AND TELL concerning the revelation of Jesus Christ the risen Lord, then you will be delivered. Romans 10:9 that if you acknowledge publicly with your mouththat Yeshua is Lord and trust in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be delivered.
The mentioned is demonstrated as Jesus explained to the woman at the well, “whoever drinks the water I will give him will never be thirsty again! On the contrary, the water I give him will become a spring of water inside him, welling up into eternal life!” John 4:13-14
The phrase, “the stone that the builders rejected” gets new meaning once we realize that the stone that stood between us and Christ Jesus (the obstacles we create in ourselves) has been rolled away by God and became The Chief CORNERSTONE (the resurrected Christ) whereupon we build as living stones, recreated in Christ a dwelling place for God in the Spirit. The obstacle is the enemy’s lies that can become a false altar that hinder us, but once we get the courage to hold on to the promise, the obstacle is removed and the false altars is broken down.
As Gideon broke down the altar (the obstacle that stood between Israel and God) and rebuilt the altar of worship unto God in exactly the same place God instructed him to. The obstacle, that is the “ stumbling block”, which prevented the victory for Israel, became the cornerstone whereupon Gideon rebuilt an altar unto God and it became the propelling factor for their victory.
