Every House a House of Prayer
Exodus 25 verse 8
"And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.”
When God spoke this Word to Moses, He focused on restoring the relationship He had with man before the fall.
Through Isaiah, God declared that His House is a house of prayer for all nations, desiring a living relationship with all mankind.
Isaiah 56:7
Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
Jesus, the Son of God came in love to fulfill God’s Word and thereby restoring this relationship with our Heavenly Father.
Jesus challenged the Pharisees to tear down the temple as a building and said that He will rebuild it in three days.
In Ephesians 2, Paul refers to this newly rebuilt Temple, as being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
This dwelling place for God is being rebuilt as the body of Christ unites in faith, in the knowledge of Jesus Christ as the Son of God. Jesus through the cross and resurrection became the sacrifice for our sin and through His blood we partake IN THE NEW COVENANT AND ALSO THE PROMISES FOR ISRAEL.
JESUS IS John 14:6 “that He is the way, the truth and the life and that no one can come into a relationship with the Father except through Him.”
FOR THIS REASON JESUS ALSO CAME TO REBUILT the Father's House as a House of prayer for all nations,
giving us the building plans in Matthew 7:24-25 by saying.
“Therefore everyone who listens to these messages from Me and does so will be compared to a wise man who builds his house on a solid rock and the rain fell and the water streams rushed and the winds blew against that house and it did not fall because its foundation was on the solid rock.”
The beaded house (photo) is a symbolic representation of a house of prayer
As mentioned, Jesus came to restore the relationship with our Heavenly Father by rebuilding a new Temple, His body.
We as the body of Christ are building God’s House as a House of prayer, as we come together in the authority and character of Jesus.
This house of prayer like any other house begins with the foundation, Jesus said to Peter in Matt 16:18 On this Rock (revelation of Jesus as the Son of the Living God) I will build My congregation of called out ones(first born) and the gates of Sh'ol (hades) will not be able to stand against it.
With reference to the beaded house, the rock is the gray part at the very bottom, the knowledge of Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus also said that EVERYONE WHO LISTENS TO HIS WORD AND DOES IT BUILDS ON THE ROCK. The yellow part of the beaded house represents the Bible as the Word of God in the knowledge that every promise is a yes and an amen in the name of Jesus. This first part of the house is the Way, it's something we received by grace and can now build on it in obedience.
Paul confirms in 1 Corinthians 3 that no other foundation can be laid than that which has already been laid in Jesus Christ, but that WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BUILDING WORK, AND THAT OUR BUILDING WORK WILL BE TESTED BY FIRE.
When the disciples asked Jesus concerning the service they must do, Jesus said in John 6:29: "This is the service of God, that you TRUST IN HIM whom He has sent."
We as believers build by expressing our faith in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
The two figures in the beaded house represent the believers who gather together in the name of Jesus BASED ON THE TRUTH OF THE WORD OF GOD. The WHITE CROSS indicates that we focus our prayers on JESUS AND HIS ABILITY, who promises in Matthew 18:20 “where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” and as children of our Heavenly Father, we do not look at each other but to Jesus as we focus on Him to give us whatever we ask in agreement to His perfect Word. This part of the house represents the truth, since we build in faith on the truth.
A house without a roof however has no value, as it is the roof that offers the protection.
Our Heavenly Father has arranged it in such a way that as we place our trust in Him, He is faithful to cover us under His protection. If only one of the two in the image pray, only half of the roof is covered, making the house incomplete. Where as if both pray together in Jesus' Name and the Father answers us through His Holy Spirit, the House is completed as confirmed in 1 John 1:2-3 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. This part of the house is the life, for our life is in the fellowship of knowing God and His Son Jesus Christ. (John 17:3)
