Called to prepare a way

Isaiah 62:10

Go on through, go on through the gates, clear the way for the people! Build up a highway, build it up! Clear away the stones! Raise a banner for the peoples!

Stage 1

Go through the gates : This is a command to pass through the gates of our own cities, church, ministry and our own fears so that we can get active in building God’s Kingdom together, as one bride of the Messiah, establishing a dwelling place for our Father. It is not about us, it’s about God and His Kingdom. A disciple does not allow himself to be entangled in the affairs of the world.

1 Cor 3:3-7

For you are still worldly! Isn’t it obvious from all the jealousy and quarrelling among you that you are worldly and living by merely human standards? For when one says, “I follow Sha’ul” and another, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you being merely human? After all, what is Apollos? What is Sha’ul? Only servants through whom you came to trust. Indeed, it was the Lord who brought you to trust through one of us or through another. I planted the seed, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. So neither the planter nor the waterer is anything, only God who makes things grow- planter and waterer are the same. However, each will be rewarded according to his work

Stage 2

Clear the way for the people : We are called to clear a way for the people, that Yeshua may be revealed to them, so that they can follow Him.

Prepare the way!!!!-We are not the way

John the Baptist only showed the way to the Lamb of God and when confronted with who he is, he acknowledged that he is the one preparing a way for the Lord. He went on to say to his disciples that Yeshua must become more as he becomes less, likewise we as ministers of the Word of God must become less as the Messiah becomes more in the hearts of His sheep, we are only there to feed them so that Yeshua can become more in them.

The moment we start seeing ourselves as ministers, commissioned by Yeshua the Messiah to proclaim the Good News of the Messiah, and not ministers of a specific denomination, every dividing wall will come down, for we are there to declare the truth as we have been led by the Spirit of God.

In John 21:21-22 when Peter asks Yeshua “Lord, what about him?” Yeshua said to him, “If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you? You, follow me.

Likewise we must not consider one another, but rather acknowledge that we did not die for any man on the cross. Yeshua willingly laid down His life in obedience to the Father so that we can be saved. Let us follow Yeshua and encourage others to do the same, to follow after Yeshua and not the minister or the denomination.

Stage 3

Clear away the stones! : To remove all things that hinder yourself and other people from embracing Yeshua as the Messiah, eg heresies, false doctrines, false worship, idolatry and superstition, so that the way to Yeshua may be a good way for all who follow after Him, a highway of holiness:

The purpose of sharing the Good News is not to call people to church membership, but to reveal unto them the truth of Yeshua as the Son of God. Who came to take away the sin of this world, so that the hearers of this Good News can become followers of Yeshua and PARTAKERS in the power of His resurrection as we trust in Him and His ability, awaiting His coming and His Kingdom.

In looking at John the Baptist as an example, he used every opportunity to reveal Yeshua as the Messiah.

Stage 4

Raise a banner for the peoples! : A man once said that if he could see the Messianic community the Bible talks about, he would become a believer in Yeshua! The standard by which we live must proclaim our trust in Yeshua the Messiah. As we raise up a standard within our own lives, people must be able to follow as Paul said “follow me (in the example) as I follow Yeshua”.

As the song “let my walk speak loud and my words be true, let my life-song sing to You!” Lifting up the Messiah as a standard to direct, invite, and encourage all to come unto Him, so that they may know the Way, the Truth and the Life.
