Elijah Prayer Discipleship School
Elijah Prayer Discipleship School is prayer discipleship training with the intention of mobilize prayer evangelism as a means of reaching the unresearched and transforming communities to the glory of God! Students are therefore encouraged to participate in “Ripples of prayer” to enable practical implementation of what is learned.
The objective of the training is to :
- Motivate and encourage every student to be an instrument of change in the Hands of God within their community through the transforming power of Prayer Evangelism.
- Equipping participants to be able to identify the obstacles to evangelism and community transformation in their area and region.
- Fuel a passion for prayer based evangelism.
- Inspire, educate and assist the people in local communities, regarding prayer based evangelism leading to transformation of the community.
- Encourage all partakers to support one another in Building Fathers House as a dwelling place for God in the Spirit.
Why call it the Elijah Prayer Discipleship School?
God gave the name and we believe it is based upon the fact that even though Elijah is seen as the elder of the prophets, and seems to be exalted in his fiery and prayerful nature as being superhuman, the new testament place him alongside us as a man, pointing only to him as an example to be imitated and as an inspiration to pray like him with the same results – showing God in His might.
James 5:17-18 “Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months and he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops”
