Israel, God’s redemptive plan
Israel, the land God chose for redemption of all mankind! After Adam and Eve were banished from the garden of Eden, Elohim promised them that at His ordained time He will send a Saviour to restore the devastation which occurred when satan deceived Eve into disobeying God’s command. Then God chose Israel and the Jewish people to bring salvation to the world, through His Son Yeshua the Messiah.
As Yeshua said in John 4:22 You people don’t know what you are worshipping; we worship what we do know, because salvation comes from the Jews.
Paul explained the fulfilment of God’s redemption plan through His Son Yeshua the Messiah as follows :
Romans.11:11-18
So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous. Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean! Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. In as much then as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry in order somehow to make my fellow Jews jealous, and thus save some of them. For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead? If the dough offered as first fruits is holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches… although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief…
Ephesians 2:11-16
“Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.
”When God called Abram, He changed his name to Abraham and promised to give him and his descendants an everlasting inheritance, the land of Canaan. We as gentiles became children and part of the promise of Israel through faith in Christ Jesus. The enemy however continues with his scheme to kill, steal and destroy according to John 10:10(a) and he has ever since tried to steal this inheritance from the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! The enemy is not concern with the land in particular, but he wants to destroy what the land represents.
Israel represents God’s promises and that He will restore every promise just as he promised to restore Israel.
For centuries people believed that Israel is only a spiritual promise, until God’s promise came in fulfilment in 1948. Before you speak against Israel, please consider the scriptures quoted below, and remember that Jacob became Israel just as we have been transformed through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ from gentiles to children of the living God and through the promises of Israel :
Genesis 17:7-8
“And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you. And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.”
Ps.89:30-37
If his children forsake my law and do not walk according to my rules, if they violate my statutes and do not keep my commandments, then I will punish their transgression with the rod and their iniquity with stripes, but I will not remove from him my steadfast love or be false to my faithfulness. I will not violate my covenant or alter the word that went forth from my lips. Once for all I have sworn by my holiness; I will not lie to David. His offspring shall endure forever, his throne as long as the sun before me. Like the moon it shall be established forever, a faithful witness in the skies.” Selah
Jeremiah 31:35,36
Thus says the Lord, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—the Lord of hosts is his name: “If this fixed order departs from before me, declares the Lord, then shall the offspring of Israel cease from being a nation before me forever.”
Ps.105:7-11
He is the LORD our God; his judgements are in all the earth. He remembers his covenant forever, the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant that he made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac, which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.”
Gen 12:1-3
“Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
