Attempt great things for God, expect great things from God.(Livingstone)

In order to attempt we must first acknowledge and recognize God’s call and then act in obedience for it is written. “And He said to them, Be careful what you hear. With what measure you measure, it will be measured to you; and more will be given to you, the ones hearing.” Mark 4:24

Consider Peter as he walked on the water on account of his willingness to submit unto the Lord’s call and trusted in the fulfilment thereof. “And Peter answered Him and said, LORD, if it is You, tell me to come to You on the water. And He said, Come. And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But seeing that the wind was strong, he was afraid. And beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me!”

Mat 14:28

Peter, Who knew the voice of the Lord, was ready to believe it is the Lord walking on the water. But like Gideon he put out a flees “saying, Lord, if it is You, tell me to come to You”; for he knew that on account of the command, Jesus was able to support his body on the water, but waited in submission for Jesus to call him before he step out in faith, trusting in Christ Jesus, to do what only He can do.

God created us with a purpose, to manifest His Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven through the overcoming life of His Son Jesus Christ. For this purpose we have been privileged to receive the promised Holy Spirit, enabling us to be a witness of Jesus Christ as we live the overcoming life in Christ Jesus. Just as Peter witnessed by his actions so must we, as it is written in Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking; rather, it is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”.

Righteousness, is being in right standing with God, that is to get out of the boat in OBEDIENCE to the call that we received and walk on the power of His Word. But be careful to keep eyes on Jesus Christ and do not adhere to the once sitting in the boat.

Walk on the Word of God, as Jesus said that if you listen and do His will, it is liken unto a wise man who build his house on a rock.

Since we know that God will bring His Word’s in fulfilment as it is written in Isaiah 55:11 therefore we are prepared to attempt great things for God, expecting great things from God.

Remember Ezekiel 37

“The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together….

The gift of faith is never unanswered for it is based upon to call into existence God’s promise of His Word.

The Lord does not want us to be afraid of the future; He wants us to sow the incorruptible seed of His Word (God’s promises) through the power of prayer.
